When it's raining cats and Jacks and you just can't get yourself to take him for a walk:

But who are we kidding what he REALLY wants is a walk but you know Jack sometimes life is hard and you can't always have exactly what you want exactly when you want it.

Ok, case in point:

So yes I bought these.  But as I'm not spending this year (ahem) but I just can't say no to myself (my favorite quality/hmm really should work on that, tomorrow) I waited too long and they sold out in my size so I ordered the half size smaller (last pair in the known universe apparently) and dang it if they aren't just a scosh small and while I'll do a lot for a pair of shoes I won't lose a toe for 'em.  

Return To Sender.

So, NOW I have to wait til I can find them in my size somewhere in the Western Hemisphere (where I can get free shipping).   Waiting, waiting...

So today I wore these new shoes (Ash, and if you get 'em here's a word to the wise...they run small!!!), and my friend Deb oohed and ahhed and asked for the details which I readily spilled and she said but don't worry I won't get the same color and I replied: but you should!   And she said well she just might! (Ok paraphrasing here...)

So we agreed, the more the merrier!  I love it when my friends and I show up wearing the same things!   I mean if it's good once it's good at least twice!!!

Which is good because Suzy, Pat and I have that same HM Marni coat, Pat and I have too many shoes and coats in common (hazards of too much shopping together!), Erica has that huge mohair coat in grey that Pat and I both have in pink...

You catch my drift.  She should!

Happy Easter! But...

Don't you hate it when your (blogging/whatever yours is) mojo goes on the fritz on a holiday and the stores are all closed so you can't go out and get a new one?

Fortunately, the new shoes should arrive tomorrow and we can get back to the business at hand!

And the good news is it looks like my mom is going to be around for a bunch more years of shoe shopping with me!!!!!

That was a bit of a "Burma" shave, but around here we call it an all's well that ends well!!!
